The High Route

Chikamin Lake

 

Getting There: If you are coming from Seattle take I-90 East to Exit 80. Take aZ left at the stop, then drive for about 3 miles to the next Stop and turn left onto Highway 903. Take the highway for 16 miles and when you come to Cooper Lake Road #46 take a left. In about 5 miles the road passes a turn to Cooper Lake and Pete Lake Trails. Continue on Road #46. The road turns to gravel. In 2.3 miles go pass turn onto Kachess Ridge Trail. In about 2.5 miles Road #46 ends at Mineral Creek Trail #1331 trailhead. Follow Mineral Creek Trail for 5.5 miles to PCT
Once you come to the PCT go left just over a 1/2 mile, the unmarked Chikamin Lake Trail #1360 starts on the right.
From the north-east side of the Chikamin Lake a cross-country route leads to Iceberg Lake
The trail up mineral creek is very brushy so you might want to look at an alternative route.
