Setting in a high altitude granite cirque just under the Silver Run Plateau is a jewel of a lake setting at the foot of 12,500 ft Silver Run Peak and surrounded by other granite peaks.

Getting There: From Red Lodge take the road up to Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort (Ski Run Road) for about 3 miles then take a left on to the West Fork Road(Forest Rd 71) drive another 8.5 miles miles and you will find the parking area for the trailhead on the left of the road.
