Leigh Lake Trail

Used as an starting point into the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness, Leigh Lake is a jewel all to its self. Really a warm up hike but is a stunning site. Also in the area is Snowshoe Peak, it is the highest peak in the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness area. Blackwell Glacier is on the north side, and is the remaining glacier of any size in the Cabinet Mountains. Great view to be had from this peak.

Getting There: From Libby, drive 7 miles south on US Highway 2. Turn right onto the Bear Creek road and drive 3 miles to Cherry Creek Road 867. take a right and continue for approximately 4 miles. Take a right on Leigh Creek Road 4786 and continue 2 miles to the trailhead
