Pintler Loop Trail

The trail is in the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness a 158,516-acre wilderness smallest in Montana. Elevation range from 5,100 to 10,800 ft. The area is little used compared to Montana's most popular national parks and wilderness. The wilderness is full of high mountain cirques and hanging valleys with dozens of alpine lakes.

Getting There: From Philipsburg take highway1... 6 miles, then turn west on highway38. Driving another 9 miles you will then take a left (heading south) onto the Middle Fork Road (#5106). After about 15 mile on this road you will come to the Middle Fork Trailhead.
