The High Route

Tin Cup Lake Basin

Getting There: From Stanley go NE on Highway 75 for about 37 miles. Turn left onto the East Fork Salmon River Rd abut 4.5 miles east of Clayton. After just over 17 miles turn turn right onto the road to Livingston Mill. Drive about 5 more miles and turn left just before the mill area. The trailhead is just across the creek. If you have a four wheel drive you can take the jeep road to Railroad Ridge. Get a good topo map before you try this route. It involves off trail hiking and steep rocky terrain. This road tops out at 10,400 feet which makes it the highest road in Idaho.
Have not been able to find out any info on the trail itself. Use your topo maps to plan your trip out and/or call the ranger station for trail information.
