It's been said that this section of trail is like walking across the top of the world. The views are ever expanding and magnificent. The alpine meadows like glorious alpine pasture covered in blossoms. The uplifting of ones spirit when in such an area is indescribable

Getting There: Driving from Bishop take CA168 fro 15 miles to the South Lake Road turnoff. Take a left here and continue for 7 miles to the Bishop Pass Trailhead. At the end of the hike the trail ends at Road End in Kings Canyon National Park. Take the road from the trailhead at Cedar Grove Village and then from here CA180 on out.

Trail Length: 58 Miles straight thru
Elevation Gain: Starting at 9,760 ft up to 12,130 ft and back down to 5,063 ft
