Wrangell St. Elias National Park is the largest and most remote park in the United States. At 13.2 million acres in size it is 6 times the size of Yellowstone, 9 of the 16 highest peaks in the United States rest within Park borders. The highest Mount St. Elias at 18,008 feet.
Spanning Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve are four mountain systems, eight physiographic provinces, three climate zones and seven eco regions. In short, this place is AWESOME.
